Volunteers Wanted!

volunteers share skills

Today is April 1st, and that is an important date. Not because it is April Fools! But because Volunteer Appreciation Week falls in April. Here at Hospice Georgian Triangle, a BIG part of our workforce is made up of volunteers. So we are celebrating Volunteer Appreciation MONTH! And what better way to start out this important month, than to put a call out there for more volunteers!

The Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation is seeking volunteers to serve on its board and committees.

The Foundation’s role is to raise money to fund the growing need for hospice palliative care and palliative respite care at the Hospice’s Campbell House location in Collingwood. As well, the Foundation raises funds for our community support programs now located at 186 Hurontario Street in Collingwood. These programs include grief and bereavement support for children and youth.

Since 1987, Hospice Georgian Triangle has provided compassionate, top-quality, and free hospice palliative care services for people and families dealing with life-limiting illnesses in the communities of the Town of Blue Mountains, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and Clearview Township.

The Foundation is seeking volunteers to help us as we emerge from the global pandemic. We need proactive people with skills and experience in communications, analytics, accounting, law, human resources, sales, and marketing.  As our programs continue to grow, there is an ever-increasing need for community-minded individuals who are committed to helping us fulfil our goals. Your special skills will be utilized to help us achieve our primary focus of fundraising. If you would like to learn more about volunteering for the  Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation, please reach out to Foundation President Paul Williams at paulowilliams27@gmail.com or fill out the volunteer form on our website today!
