Every year at Hospice Georgian Triangle is shaped by moments.
Some are quiet: a reassuring conversation, a favourite song playing softly, a volunteer sitting at the bedside or a family sharing coffee together in the kitchen at Campbell House.
Others bring unexpected joy: a Living Wish fulfilled, a beloved pet visiting, a meaningful keepsake created or loved ones gathering for a celebration they will always remember.
During 2025–2026, these moments unfolded every day at Campbell House, and through our community programs across South Georgian Bay.
A caregiver who was finally able to rest because a trained volunteer arrived. The child who discovered a safe place to talk about grief. The family who could focus on being together because the clinical team was managing their loved one’s pain. The individual whose wishes, values and beliefs were heard through an Advance Care Planning conversation.
There are also moments of laughter, celebration and love.
The 2026 Impact Report reflects what our community accomplished together. It is a story of compassionate care, extraordinary generosity, dedicated volunteers, trusted partnerships and families supported through some of life’s most tender experiences.
Most importantly, it is a collection of moments that mattered.
A wish fulfilled. A caregiver supported. A family given time to simply be together.
These are the moments your generosity makes possible.
Dear Friends,
Every day, we are reminded of the strength and kindness that define South Georgian Bay. We see individuals and families meet some of life’s most difficult moments with remarkable courage. They are supported by a team of staff, volunteers, donors, and neighbours who believe no one should face illness, caregiving, death, or grief alone.
We also saw important milestones in access to care:
These numbers tell an important story. They show that when care is accessible it changes their experience of illness, dying and bereavement in meaningful ways.
We are deeply proud of our staff for their professionalism and compassion, and of our volunteers for the generosity and heart they bring to this work every day. Because of them, and because of you, Campbell House is more than a building. It is a home. And through our community programs, no one has to grieve alone.
On behalf of our Board and the entire Hospice Georgian Triangle team, thank you for standing with us in life’s most tender moments. We will continue to honour your trust with compassion, accountability and care that feels like family.
With gratitude,

I am deeply grateful to our staff and volunteers whose dedication helps ensure every patient and family feels supported, valued, and cared for. Your compassion, care, and commitment make a meaningful difference every day.”
Dear Friends,
It is truly amazing how generosity moves through the Hospice Georgian Triangle community. It shows up in so many ways: a monthly gift, a legacy commitment, a sponsorship, a fundraising event, a volunteer shift, a tribute donation, a conversation with a neighbour. Each act of giving helps make hospice palliative care possible for local families.
At the Foundation, our role is to help turn that generosity into sustainable support for Hospice Georgian Triangle. Because of you, patients and families can receive compassionate care at Campbell House and in the community, always at no cost and close to home.
A special thanks to our event guests, sponsors, hosts, organizers and volunteers. You bring energy, creativity and heart to this work. Whether you attended a signature event, organized a community fundraiser, sponsored a table, donated an auction item or invited friends to learn more about hospice, you helped open doors for more people to be part of this caring mission.
Philanthropy is also about planning for tomorrow. As our community grows and the need for hospice palliative care, caregiver support, grief and bereavement services increases, the Foundation is focused on building the financial strength needed to support care now and into the future.
We do this work with deep respect for every gift. Your trust is never taken for granted. Your kindness helps create moments that matter. Thank you!

We extend our sincere thanks to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Board of Directors:
We also thank the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation Board of Directors:
The Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation’s Young Professionals Committee brings together emerging community leaders who share a commitment to compassionate hospice care.
Through their energy, ideas and personal networks, committee members introduce Hospice Georgian Triangle to new audiences and help more people understand the full scope of care available at Campbell House and in the community.
By speaking openly about hospice palliative care, grief and bereavement support, caregiver programs and Living Wish, these volunteers help challenge misconceptions and ensure more people know where to turn when support is needed.
Committee members also provide valuable perspectives on how the Foundation can connect with younger donors, volunteers, professionals and business leaders. They are helping build relationships that will sustain hospice care well into the future.
Under the leadership of Committee Chairs Cassandra Ironside, Emily Rand, and Lindsay Rowe, the committee continues to grow its reach and strengthen its impact. We are deeply grateful to our chairs and every committee member for their dedication, enthusiasm and willingness to champion hospice care.
A generous $100,000 gift to be provided over multiple years from the Prasad Family Foundation is helping ensure that patients and families across South Georgian Bay receive compassionate, coordinated palliative care when and where they need it most.
Presented in honour of Shashi Prasad’s 70th birthday, this four-year commitment names and sustains Hospice Georgian Triangle’s Compassionate Communities Initiative. At the heart of the initiative is a dedicated Palliative Care Resource Nurse who brings specialized hospice palliative expertise directly to patients, families and healthcare teams at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital.
The Compassionate Communities model reflects our family’s values: dignity, innovation in health and palliative care, and practical support. We’re honoured to help sustain a role that guides patients and families through complex decisions with compassion.”
Campbell House is our 10-bed hospice home, serving individuals and families from Collingwood, the Town of the Blue Mountains, Clearview and Wasaga Beach.
In a warm, home-like setting, our team supports comfort, dignity and quality of life through expert symptom management, pain and complex care, spiritual care, and psychosocial support, while family spaces, shared meals, quiet moments, volunteer kitchen angels, and thoughtful acts of care all help create a place where people are surrounded by compassion, connection and peace
Trained Community Support Volunteers provide respite and friendly visits, offering companionship for clients and a much-needed break for caregivers, ensuring families are supported with compassion, understanding and respect.
I've noticed when I first arrive for my visits, he is often down or sleeping. After spending two hours reading to him from one of our favourite books and chatting about what's happening in the story or talking about history, he is energized and in good spirits. On my last visit I was chatting with his wife when I arrived, and she said she better get going because he didn't want her to take away our time together. I always feel like I make their day a little better by being there.”
Our Grief & Bereavement programs offer compassionate, no-cost support for individuals and families of all ages as they navigate loss. Through one-to-one counselling, group programs, and peer support, people can access care in the way that feels right for them.
Grounded in connection, resilience and hope, our programming helps people feel supported and understood.
Families, friends, volunteers, and staff gathered for Lights of Love, Hospice Georgian Triangle's annual non-denominational memorial service. The event provided a meaningful opportunity to honour and remember loved ones while finding comfort in shared reflection. Following the service, guests were welcomed to Campbell House for Winter Warm Up, where hot cocoa and conversation offered a warm and supportive space to connect during a season that can be especially difficult after loss.
The Living Wish program helps individuals receiving hospice palliative care create meaningful moments with the people they love. In 2025-26, 27 wishes were granted.
It gives patients and families the opportunity to create memories, celebrate relationships and experience moments of love and meaning during a difficult time. For loved ones, these wishes often become lasting keepsakes.
Living Wish gave our family a moment we will carry with us forever. It wasn’t just about our Dad’s favourite meal being brought in. During a time that felt heavy and uncertain, it helped us focus on love, laughter and being together. The keepsake created was a beautiful memory.”

Each spring, the Hospice Georgian Triangle team participates in the annual Hospice Palliative Care Ontario Conference, joining hospice professionals from across the province to exchange ideas, strengthen skills and advance hospice palliative care.
Hospice Georgian Triangle is also proud to contribute to the conference by presenting abstracts and leading educational sessions, sharing our expertise while learning from colleagues across Ontario. In 2025, our Foundation team led two conference presentations: Gifts of Securities & Donor-Advised Funds and The Future of Direct Mail.
This ongoing commitment to collaboration and professional development helps ensure we continue delivering exceptional care and innovative programs for our community.
Dr. Alyssa Boyd’s daily leadership, compassion, and vision continue to strengthen hospice palliative care across South Georgian Bay. As medical director at Hospice Georgian Triangle, Dr. Boyd plays a vital role in ensuring patients and families receive exceptional, person-centred care focused on comfort, dignity and quality of life.
The moments that stay with me are often those when a patient steps outside of their illness to refocus on enjoying moments of living. When the right people come together to make something meaningful possible, families are given a memory they can carry with them forever. That is what hospice care is about: understanding what matters most to each person and helping make those moments possible.”
Through Advance Care Planning, Hospice Georgian Triangle volunteer Thai Shelton, helps individuals and families understand the importance of reflecting on their values, identifying a substitute decision-maker and sharing what matters most to them. These thoughtful conversations help ensure that a person’s voice can guide their care, even if they are no longer able to speak for themselves.
Thai approaches these conversations with warmth, compassion and respect, creating a safe space for people to ask questions and consider what matters most: the people they want nearby, the values that guide their decisions and the kind of care that would help them feel safe and supported.
Advance Care Planning is for every adult, at every stage of life. When wishes are understood and voices are heard, families can spend less time wondering what their loved one would want and more time being present for the moments that matter.
Our volunteers are the heart of hospice. Their compassion, generosity and commitment can be felt throughout Campbell House, across our community programs and at every Foundation event.
From sitting quietly at a patient’s bedside to preparing a comforting meal in the kitchen, welcoming families at reception or visiting someone in their home, volunteers help create an environment where people feel cared for, supported and less alone.
More than 160 volunteers. Over 13,000 hours. Countless moments of care, comfort and connection.
Hospice care is strongest when it is connected. Across South Georgian Bay, we work closely with the Ontario Health Teams, Ontario Health atHome, hospitals, primary care providers, and community agencies to help people receive the right support, in the right place, at the right time.
These partnerships ensure families experience more coordinated, compassionate care during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Hospice Georgian Triangle and Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation are working together to understand and prepare for the future needs of our growing community. Through joint future planning, we are exploring how Campbell House, our community programs and our physical spaces may need to evolve to serve more patients and families in the years ahead.
Input from staff, volunteers, donors, community partners and the people we serve will help shape a responsible, sustainable vision for the future of hospice care in South Georgian Bay.
With your help, we will ensure that everyone who needs hospice care can access it, when and where they need it; today and for the moments yet to come.
