Hospice Georgian Triangle offers one-on-one and group support to individuals who want to express their grief and receive suggestions on coping with the feeling of loss.

These meetings can be at home, in the community, on the phone/virtual, or at Hospice Georgian Triangle’s downtown Collingwood offices, or at Campbell House.

Length of sessions depends on individual assessment.

Group grief support

A six to eight week program offered frequently during the year. General grief support or tailored to special groups including but not limited to spousal loss, parental loss, child loss or adult child loss. This program provides education on grief and also draws on peer experience of loss and coping with feelings of grief.

Caring for caregivers

This group offers a safe space for anyone who is caring for a loved one at home with a palliative diagnosis providing education, resources, and emotional support.

Grief support for children, youth, and young adults

If you are old enough to love, you are old enough to grieve. Contact us for individual and group support sessions.

Widow/Widower Lunch Groups

Hospice Georgian Triangle offers grief support groups speciffically for for widows and widowers. These casual groups areopen to anyone who has lost a spouse and wants to connect with others with similar experiences.

Coffee groups

Hospice Georgian Triangle offers grief support groups over coffee. This casual group is open to anyone interested in connecting with others, while simply enjoying a coffee.

Life-limiting illness support group

Our life-limiting illness support group is open to anyone living with a life-limiting diagnosis, who is looking to connect with others who are on a similar journey. There is great support in connecting with others. There will be opportunities to work on Legacy Projects and discuss the challenges you face.
