May 27, 2025 – COLLINGWOOD – The Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation is proud to announce that over $271,000 was raised at the Hike & Bike and counting! Funds raised support hospice palliative care for patients with life-limiting illnesses, and their families. Donations will still be accepted until June 15.
The 2025 annual Hike & Bike for Hospice was the biggest success yet with over 713 participants who hiked and biked the trails of Collingwood, ensuring the programs and services of Hospice Georgian Triangle are provided at no cost to patients and families.
Participants hiked 6 km or biked 6 km / 20 km. The event kicked off at the Collingwood Curling Club with a sendoff from the Beinn Gorm Highlanders and traveled through the Collingwood trails and along the shore of Georgian Bay. At the finish line there was music and entertainment provided by DJ Nation and vintage cars from the Wasaga Beach Cruisers were on display.
On the leaderboard for fundraising was Myke Dyer, PSW with Hospice Georgian Triangle. Myke raised an impressive $4,160.
Team fundraising was a highlight this year, with the Collingwood Curlers Care team raising an incredible $37,000+, with Margot’s Motivators a close second at just over $20,500.
