South Georgian Bay Health Team announced by government

The Ontario government announced today (Nov. 18, 2020), it will spend $2.4 million on Ontario Health Teams across the province, including the South Georgian Bay Ontario Health Team, which serves Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Clearview and The Blue Mountains.

With the addition of 13 new Ontario Health Teams, the province now has a total of 42 teams, covering over 86% of the province’s population.

Ontario Health Teams are being promoted by the government as a way to organize and deliver care that is more connected to patients in their local communities. Under Ontario Health Teams, health care providers (including hospitals, doctors and home and community care providers) work as one coordinated team – no matter where they provide care.
