Hospice Georgian Triangle celebrates the official Grand Opening of our new location!

Hospice Georgian Triangle celebrated its official Grand Opening of their new location on Hurontario Street in Collingwood yesterday. This new office, in the heart of downtown, has been open since spring offering community programs and a home for our Foundation.

We have waited long enough to share the news that WE ARE OPEN and we celebrated this incredible achievement by officially cutting the ribbon in front of our new location!

The expansion of Hospice Georgian Triangle was needed to meet the growing needs of our community. During the pandemic many businesses were forced to slow down, but Hospice Georgian Triangle did not. Our community’s needs are growing, and we have risen to meet them.

This expansion was made possible by a significant grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, as well as many community supporters.

This new office houses three important teams under the Hospice Georgian Triangle umbrella; The Community Support Team, The Foundation, and The Palliative Pain and Symptom Management Clinic.

This year Hospice Georgian Triangle launched:

  • New programs aimed at helping kids and young adults with issues related to dying, death, and loss.
  • New group programs, such as a substance related death support group, a walking through our grief walking group, and a grievers book club, among others.
  • A new palliative pain and symptom management clinic aimed to reach people earlier in their diagnosis.

“Hospice is more than just compassionate care, it is caring and providing support for families, loved ones and caregivers. Community programs like the ones curated at our Hurontario offices support those who love and care for those with life limiting illnesses. These are services that our communities desperately need.”
