Due to the global pandemic, we have regrettably cancelled the 2020 Care Gala. However the need for fundraising is greater than ever before. The Ontario government asked Hospice Georgian Triangle to do more, by granting us approval to open four more beds. As soon as we were up and running as a ten bed facility, COVID hit. This meant our costs increased, our volunteers had to stay home, many of our staff worked remotely, and families have had to get creative while visiting due to necessary visitor restrictions.
Out of the cancelling of in-person events, we have been inspired to create new, virtual solutions to ensure we can continue to engage with our supporters, as well as raise funds that are needed now more than ever.
