RESPITE CARE
FOR CAREGIVERS
Are you a caregiver seeking support and education?
You do not have to walk this journey alone.
Common questions and helpful resources can be found – click here.
There’s help for you
You may request a trained hospice volunteer to visit with your loved one weekly. You can use this time to do whatever it is YOU need to best support you.
Whether it’s simply taking a walk. Or attending appointments or classes, running errands, meeting friends for coffee or simply resting.
This can happen while knowing your loved one is in the company of a caring, compassionate, trained volunteer
Personal caregiver support and support groups
Hospice Georgian Triangle offers both personal caregiver support and support groups. The personal caregiver support provides both emotional support as well as education around your caregiving role.
The caregiver support groups provide you an opportunity to meet other caregivers, learn practical skills, self-care techniques and coping strategies.

Palliative respite care
Your loved one may also be eligible for a palliative respite stay at Campbell House.
Palliative respite stays allow you to be relieved of your care responsibilities temporarily while your loved one is cared for 24-hours per day by the professional and compassionate staff at Campbell House, before returning home or to an alternate care setting.
Palliative respite stays at Campbell House may also be used for pain and symptom management to help your loved one with challenging symptoms that are not well managed at home, while keeping them out of the emergency room.
